About the role

This role involves overseeing the compliance and continual improvement of environmental programs for Lam Research's Bay Area sites. The position focuses on integrating systematic environmental requirements into business operations and supporting ISO14001 registration.

What you'll do

• Implement environmental programs including air emissions control, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and waste management.
• Obtain and manage environmental permits, develop operations compliance plans, and monitor chemical use and storage thresholds.
• Submit regulatory permit renewals, monitoring reports, and annual operating reports to agencies.
• Manage the hazardous waste program, including waste identification, characterization, handling, disposal, and minimization.
• Evaluate, interpret, and apply environmental laws, regulations, and permits to facility operations.
• Investigate exceedances in wastewater and air emissions and assist with the development of containment and corrective action plans.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree.
• Experience managing air emissions permits, wastewater/hazardous waste treatment permits, stormwater management, and hazardous waste management.
• Strong understanding of wastewater treatment plant and air scrubber functions and operations.
• Knowledge of environmental regulatory programs and requirements in California and the Bay Area.
• Knowledge of chemistry, hazardous materials, California Fire Code, and hazard risk assessment experience.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor experience.
• Advanced degree in engineering, sciences, or a related field.
• Professional environmental certifications.
