About the role
Tenstorrent is seeking an EDA Tools & Design Automation Engineer to join the Mixed Signal Design Automation team, owning the deployment, configuration, reliability, and evolution of the EDA tool environment used by mixed-signal design teams.
What you'll do
- Own the deployment, configuration, reliability, and evolution of the EDA environment for mixed-signal design teams.
- Develop, test, release, and support AI-enabled automation and workflows, primarily in Python, with Tcl or Cadence SKILL integrations as needed.
- Partner with Design Automation and CAD to build workflows, configure tools and PDKs, qualify supported versions, and maintain reproducible environments.
- Standardize automation conventions, interfaces, and data formats, while troubleshooting and resolving tool, configuration, PDK, and workflow issues.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience supporting, configuring, or automating semiconductor EDA tools in an analog, mixed-signal, custom-design, CAD, or methodology environment.
- Strong software engineering experience in Python alongside Tcl and/or Cadence SKILL.
- Hands-on experience with Linux-based EDA environments and GUI or batch-flow integrations.
- Demonstrated application of software engineering practices, including version control, code review, testing, CI/CD, documentation, and maintainable design.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and troubleshooting complex CAD, PDK, infrastructure, layout, and design issues.
Nice to have
- Experience with Cadence and Synopsys custom flows.
- Experience with OpenAccess, verification, extraction, or simulation.
- Experience with Slurm or HPC environments.
