About the role
This role involves managing and maintaining ECAD schematic symbol and PCB footprint libraries to ensure accuracy and consistency for design teams. The work directly supports hardware development for inference-focused AI systems.
What you'll do
- Develop, maintain, and organize ECAD libraries of Allegro schematic symbols and PCB footprints.
- Create and validate complex schematic symbols and PCB footprints in Allegro, ensuring compliance with IPC standards.
- Build and maintain complete component metadata, including part numbering, attributes, and datasheet linkage.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to adjust symbols and footprints for DFM requirements and JEDEC standards.
- Partner with electrical engineers and layout designers to resolve library issues.
- Establish and enforce best practices for library version control, part approvals, and data integrity.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in ECAD library management, including creating Allegro schematic symbols and PCB footprints.
- Expertise in Allegro PCB Editor and related tools for symbol and footprint creation.
- Understanding of Part Life Cycle, EOL parts, and RoHS/EU compliance.
- Strong understanding of IPC standards for PCB footprint creation, JEDEC package standards, and package dimensional tolerances.
- Experience with version control systems for ECAD libraries, such as Git or PLM software.
