About the role
Texas Instruments is seeking a Digital Design Manager to direct and guide engineering activities responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating USB PD controller ICs for consumer, industrial, and automotive applications. The role leads digital design execution for Power Interface controllers featuring ARM M0+ processor subsystems, AHB bus peripherals, memory macros, and analog/digital boundaries exceeding 500 signals.
What you'll do
- Direct digital design team activities through product definition, development, and cross-functional execution until market ramp.
- Lead the architecture and implementation of USB-PD controller designs comprising 100K to 300K digital gates, ARM M0+ subsystems, and memory macros.
- Collaborate with system and analog teams to manage product definition and over 500 signals across the analog/digital boundary.
- Prepare and present reports outlining project outcomes and recommend technical actions to achieve design milestones.
- Select, develop, and evaluate engineering personnel to ensure effective execution across technical projects.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field of study.
- 10+ years of relevant digital design experience.
- Experience with digital logic design fundamentals, including clock switching and gating, synchronization, serial interfaces, and Lint and CDC analysis.
- Proven experience with Verilog for RTL design.
- Hands-on experience with synthesis, constraints, and timing closure.
- Knowledge of ARM processors with AHB interface and simulation debug capability.
Nice to have
- Experience with SystemVerilog.
- Exposure to analog IC design methods and understanding of analog functionality.
- Post-silicon validation experience.
