What you'll do
- Support development work in real time by communicating with Development Engineers regarding ATS material to keep experiments and activities on schedule.
- Assist with the evaluation and disposition of non-conforming material in partnership with engineering teams to maintain development flow.
- Execute standard and advanced engineering experiments through the ATS Technician Request system to support technology validation and customer development programs.
- Develop proficiency across more than 100 semiconductor toolsets and gain exposure to major process areas including Photolithography, Etch, Thin Films, CMP, and Implant/RTA.
- Draft and refine work instructions, process flows, and metrology recipes to improve repeatability and experimental success.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance process quality in collaboration with operations and engineering teams.
What you'll need
- 3–5 years of technician experience in a semiconductor fab or similar cleanroom/manufacturing environment OR 4-year college degree.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor processing in at least one of the following areas: Photolithography, Etch, Thin Films, CMP, or Implant/RTA.

- Ability to work B Shift (Sun-Tue and every other Wed 6:00pm-6:15am).
- U.S. Citizenship (required for government security clearance).
Nice to have
- BS/BA in a STEM field (Engineering, Physics, Chemistry).
- Experience writing or updating engineering specifications, RSC documents, or work instructions.
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or basic data analysis.
Skills: semiconductor fab, cleanroom, Photolithography, Etch, Thin Films, CMP, Implant/RTA

How we counted: 1043 open Process Engineering (Semiconductor Process) roles from 58 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 11 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row. Figures refresh nightly.
