About the role
This role involves creating and maintaining AVI recipes and processes, monitoring SPC data, and investigating yield issues to implement corrective actions. The engineer will maintain process control and yield objectives and contribute to process development initiatives.
What you'll do
- Create and maintain AVI recipes and processes.
- Monitor SPC data and maintain process control.
- Investigate yield issues and develop/implement corrective actions.
- Characterize and optimize processes, developing CTRL plans and OCAPs.
- Develop continuous improvement activities to reduce scrap, improve process capability, and decrease cycle time.
- Write process specification documentation and train Process Technicians.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Sciences or a closely related science or engineering major with at least 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Knowledge of general semiconductor wafer processing and engineering practices.
- Knowledge of multiple unit processes.
- Knowledge of engineering statistics.
- Fluency in MS Office suite as well as JMP or Other statistics software.
Nice to have
- GaAs semiconductor processing or optoelectronics device experience.
- Knowledge of semiconductor lasers.
