You will drive architectural tradeoff studies and develop power management solutions for modern cloud, AI, and high-performance computing workloads.
What you'll do
- Define power, performance efficiency, and scalability architectures for server and data center platforms.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams spanning silicon design, validation, firmware, software, and systems engineering.
- Analyze cloud, AI, enterprise, and high-performance computing workloads to optimize performance per watt.
- Lead power and performance modeling, architectural tradeoff evaluations, and silicon validation efforts.
- Drive the development of power management and system optimization technologies across the hardware and software stack.
- Create technical specifications and architectural documentation while conducting architecture reviews.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field with 9+ years of relevant experience, a Master's degree with 6+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
- 3+ years of experience in silicon architecture, including proficiency in power analysis.
- 3+ years of experience with industry-standard tools for simulation and validation of silicon designs.

How we counted: 469 open SoC/Chip Architecture (SOC Architecture) roles from 66 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 31 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Digital Design & Verification family row.
