About the role
As a CPU Physical Electrical Analysis Engineer, you will drive electrical analysis and closure at the block and top levels. The role supports server-class CPU solutions optimized for server products.
What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive electrical analyses at both block and top levels, including static/dynamic IR assessment, power/signal electromigration (EM) analysis, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) evaluations. - Ensure thorough verification of electrical properties across block and top levels. - Develop power grid specifications in alignment with power, performance, and area objectives of SOC blocks, and implement them using industry-standard place-and-route (PnR) tools. - Collaborate with the PI team to improve overall Power Distribution Network (PDN) performance.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of hardware engineering experience (or Master's with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years). - Proficiency in EMIR tools such as Redhawk and Voltus. - Basic knowledge of physical design flow and standard PnR tools. - Scripting experience with TCL, Perl, and Python.
Nice to have
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 10 years of experience. - Expertise in EMIR tools including Redhawk and Voltus. - Experience in power grid solutions development and implementation. - Knowledge of system-level PDN and power integrity. - Skills in PnR implementation, verification, power analysis, and STA. - Experience with large designs.
