About the role
The Cloud DevOps and AI Security Engineer defines, implements, supports, secures, and scales cloud infrastructure, modern development pipelines, and technical controls for AI-assisted engineering tools.
What you'll do
- Implement security checks, validate tool configurations, and recommend mitigations to secure AI infrastructure and AI-enabled development workflows.
- Monitor and analyze logs, alerts, system activity, and pipeline outputs to investigate potential vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation.
- Provision, configure, and maintain core AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, and Lambda, along with containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Design, write, review, and maintain reusable Terraform, Serverless, or AWS CloudFormation templates using source control and peer-review practices.
- Manage user permissions and roles using AWS IAM while enforcing least-privilege principles and supporting access reviews.
- Own and improve automated CI/CD pipelines, deployment controls, and rollback processes for customer-facing web platforms.
What you'll need
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, cloud computing concepts, networking, IAM, security groups, and highly available web infrastructure patterns.
- Applied knowledge of cloud security principles, including least privilege, encryption, secrets management, logging, vulnerability management, and secure configurations.
- Proficiency with Python, Bash, or a comparable scripting language to automate operational and security tasks.
- Practical experience with Git workflows, Bitbucket pipelines, pull requests, branching strategies, and controlled change management.
- Experience using or governing AI coding assistants and automation tools, including protecting sensitive information and validating outputs.
Nice to have
- 3+ years of professional experience in cloud operations, DevOps, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, systems engineering, software engineering, or web operations on production systems.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
- Professional experience involving application security, AI infrastructure, or governance of AI-assisted engineering tools.
