About the role
This internship involves designing the first testchip integrating the new CAN FD XL standard, allowing STMicroelectronics to participate in CANFD XL plugfests. The testchip will also function as a standalone CAN circuit.
What you'll do
- Conduct academic review and understand the existing CAN FD XL standard.
- Define and design new IP based on existing patents on CANFD SIC.
- Perform layout and create the testchip using existing basic blocks.
- Monitor the development of ESD protections by TrD.
- Follow laboratory evaluation and assist the laboratory technician.
