About the role
As a CAD Analog Simulation Engineer at Cirrus Logic, you will own and develop the analog and mixed-signal simulation environment supporting production design teams. You will build, refine, and sustain simulation flows while collaborating directly with analog designers, foundry partners, and EDA vendors.
What you'll do
- Own analog and mixed-signal simulation tools and flows across design teams, defining signoff criteria and methodology. - Partner with foundry teams to validate, qualify, and continuously improve SPICE models. - Collaborate with EDA vendors to drive tool fixes, feature enhancements, and roadmap influence. - Work directly with design teams to debug simulation accuracy, convergence, and performance challenges. - Own post-layout simulation flows, including DSPF integration, regressions, and correlation strategies. - Optimize simulation performance, improving runtime, throughput, and license utilization across shared compute environments.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting design CAD or EDA tools in a production environment. - Expertise in analog SPICE simulation using Cadence Spectre, including SOA checks and the ADE simulation environment. - Command of analog simulation domains including DC, AC, transient, noise, and statistical analysis, with techniques for convergence tuning and numerical stability. - Hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting simulation flows within the Cadence Virtuoso environment. - Working knowledge of the Cadence OpenAccess (OA) environment, including flow integration and customization. - Understanding of CMOS analog processes, along with experience testing, validating, and correlating SPICE models.
