About the role
As a Buyer, you will analyze purchase requirements and coordinate purchasing activities across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory. You will support processing purchase requisitions, change orders, and quotes (RFQs) from suppliers within enterprise-wide systems (ERPs).
What you'll do
- Manage all indirect procurement activities, including outsourced manpower services, materials for on-site equipment installation, office leasing and renovation projects, MICE, and office supplies.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies, identifying, evaluating, and onboarding suppliers; maintain a qualified supplier database.
- Lead commercial negotiations to achieve cost optimization and maximize value.
- Draft, review, and manage commercial contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
- Drive tendering and bidding processes, including strategy development, bid documentation, organizing bid meetings, evaluation, and final award decisions.
- Execute transactional procurement activities, including PR, PO, GR, and coordinate with Finance for payment processing.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in indirect procurement.
- Familiarity with procurement regulations and contract management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Procure-to-Pay processes, including transactional operations such as vendor master, PIR, PR, PO, GR, IR.
- Proven experience in supplier sourcing, tendering, and contract management; ability to lead procurement projects independently.
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written) for business communication.
Nice to have
- Experience in establishing and optimizing procurement processes.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech industries.
- Foundational understanding of commodity market indicators and technical data.
- Prior experience managing the commercial and tactical aspects of supply chain requirements.
