About the role
The Assembly & Test Technician II performs intermediate-level mechanical, electrical, and test operations to support the production and evaluation of probe cards and related electronic hardware. The role involves working under moderate supervision in a cleanroom environment executing tests, assembling hardware, and supporting troubleshooting.
What you'll do
- Perform mechanical assembly of stiffeners, PCBAs, interposers, hardware, and associated electronic components using hand tools, tweezers, torque devices, dial indicators, microscopes, and digital meters. - Set up tester equipment to execute electrical testing, casualty analysis, and planarity adjustments on probe cards. - Conduct component-level troubleshooting using ohm, capacitance, and voltage measurements to investigate and resolve test failures. - Interpret and follow work instructions, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and special test procedures. - Conduct microscope-based inspections of hardware and micro-components while maintaining cleanroom, ESD, and contamination-control practices. - Perform data analysis, understand Statistical Process Control (SPC) metrics, and maintain accurate documentation of test results and production outputs.
What you'll need
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of related manufacturing or technician experience. - Experience with mechanical assembly and handling precision measurement tools such as dial indicators, microscopes, and metrology equipment. - Understanding of electronic theory and electronic circuitry at the component level. - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams. - Proficiency in using digital meters for ohm, capacitance, and voltage measurements. - Experience following safety, cleanroom, and ESD protocols.
