About the role
This role involves defining, developing, deploying, and supporting the methodology, design automation software tools, and flow used in ASIC development.
What you'll do
- Automate design tool processes using Bash, Python, Ruby, or TCL scripting.
- Develop complex tools in languages such as C++.
- Debug tool and design flow related issues for IC designers.
- Provide support and training on tools and methodologies to engineers.
- Work directly with EDA vendors to resolve tool issues.
- Develop documentation and training on custom flows and internal tools.
What you'll need
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, C/C++ in a UNIX/Linux environment.
- Digital Logic Design and Verilog HDL.
- Understanding of programming issues such as OO design, data structures, sorting, recursion, stack overflow, and greedy algorithms.
- Static Timing Analysis.
- Power Delivery Verification and Analysis.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering.
- 12+ years of related experience.
