Design bandgaps, LDOs, and bias circuits for optical links using microLED transmitters and photodetector receivers.
About the role
Avicena is seeking an analog design engineer to own core analog blocks, including references, bias, regulators, ESD, I/O, monitors, and test access. The role supports parallel optical links built from arrays of microLED transmitters and photodetector receivers.
What you'll do
- Design bandgap references, bias and current generators, and LDO regulators.
- Design ESD protection and general-purpose I/O circuits alongside layout and package/SI-PI engineers.
- Design power-on reset, sequencing, temperature sensors, and monitor circuits.
- Design analog test multiplexers and observability features for production test and bring-up.
- Verify circuits across PVT, Monte Carlo, and aging, and evaluate reliability including EM.
- Take blocks through post-layout extraction and signoff, deliver behavioral models, and support silicon bring-up and characterization.
What you'll need
- MS in Electrical Engineering (or BS with equivalent experience) and 4+ years of analog design experience.
- Tapeout experience with bandgaps, LDOs, bias circuits, or ESD/I/O.
- Circuit design experience in FinFET or other advanced CMOS processes.
- Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and post-layout verification.
Nice to have
- ESD and latch-up design with foundry rules.
- Experience designing on-die sensors and monitors.
- Low-noise supplies for high-speed circuits.
- Behavioral modeling in Verilog-A.

How we counted: 308 open Analog IC Design (Analog Design) roles from 53 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 3 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Analog & Mixed-Signal family row.
