About the role
This Validation Engineer Co-op will support high-volume power amplifier products and sub-systems for cellular handset applications in the Mobile Solutions Business (MSB) unit.
What you'll do
- Work with a senior Validation Engineer to set up tests and gather data for compliance matrix.
- Perform lab testing using RF test equipment and analyze/summarize data.
- Work with a design engineer to optimize matching circuits for module performance.
What you'll need
- Enrollment in a BSEE or MSEE program with an emphasis in RF and power amplifier theory.
- Circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/GoldenGate/spectreRF.
- Understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth, and stability.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience in lab debugging.
