About the role
The Test Technician is responsible for performing entry-level testing, troubleshooting, verification, and validation activities for products and assemblies within the PBT Business Unit.
What you'll do
- Perform functional, electrical, mechanical, and system-level testing in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions. - Execute routine troubleshooting activities and escalate complex issues to engineers, senior technicians, or supervisors. - Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment, fixtures, and supporting hardware. - Record test data accurately and maintain required production and quality documentation. - Identify product defects, test failures, and nonconforming conditions and report findings to appropriate personnel. - Verify products meet quality, reliability, and performance requirements before shipment.
What you'll need
- High school diploma, vocational certification, associate degree, or equivalent technical training preferred. - Basic understanding of electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical systems. - Ability to learn test methodologies, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements. - Ability to read and follow work instructions, test procedures, and technical documentation. - Basic computer skills for data entry and test documentation.
Nice to have
- Previous manufacturing, electronics, testing, or technical experience. - Familiarity with hand tools, measuring instruments, and basic test equipment.
