This Test Engineering Intern position supports engineering teams that characterize and evaluate RF products.
About the role
This Test Engineering Intern position involves supporting engineering teams in characterizing and evaluating RF products. The intern will work with measured RF data, learn Spotfire, and develop reusable dashboards and analysis templates.
What you'll do
- Collect, clean, organize, and validate RF characterization and test data from multiple sources.
- Analyze RF measurement data to identify trends, correlations, anomalies, and performance drivers.
- Learn and use Spotfire to create interactive visualizations, dashboards, filters, and drill-down analyses.
- Develop standardized dashboards and reusable analysis templates for common RF data-review workflows.
- Automate repetitive data-preparation, calculation, and reporting steps using Excel, Python, or similar tools.
- Partner with RF engineers to define key metrics, acceptance criteria, and visualizations that support faster, data-driven conclusions.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Coursework or project experience in RF/microwave engineering, signal processing, statistics, or engineering data analysis.
- Strong interest in learning Spotfire and applying visual analytics to engineering problems.
- Ability to translate technical questions into clear metrics, visualizations, and repeatable analysis workflows.
- Detail-oriented, communication, and documentation skills.
Nice to have
- Interest with data mining, visualization, and analysis; familiarity with Python, MATLAB, SQL, or similar tools is preferred.
