About the role
This Test Engineering Intern position supports the characterization, validation, and production testing of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor devices. Internships are offered in High Performance Analog, Advanced Cellular, Connectivity and Sensors, and Global Operations business groups.
What you'll do
- Support characterization, validation, and production testing of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor devices using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Analyze wafer sort and final test data to identify yield trends, electrical failures, and opportunities for test optimization.
- Assist in debugging test hardware, probe cards, load boards, and test programs.
- Collaborate with product, design, and manufacturing engineers to investigate issues and perform root cause analysis on failing devices.
- Execute bench-level electrical testing using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
- Develop Python, LabView and Excel-based automation tools for data analysis, report generation, and test result tracking.
What you'll need
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor devices, electronic circuits, and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Classwork or experience with Analog/RF Signal Fundamentals.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB.
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, wafer sort, or automated test equipment (ATE).
