About the role
As a Technician II, Production at ASM International, you will focus on assembling and testing electro-mechanical modules and systems per manufacturing protocols and quality benchmarks at the Chandler, Arizona facility.
What you'll do
- Assemble and test complex electro-mechanical modules and systems. - Perform pre-assembly functions including staging, pre-cleaning, and quality inspection of components per established procedures and specifications. - Maintain accurate assembly procedures and documentation to ensure adherence to internal and external quality systems. - Monitor operating equipment and report substandard conditions to maintain systems according to standard operating procedures. - Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and reduce output variation. - Support stockroom activities, including organizing and documenting tool staging projects.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or Associate Degree. - Ability to read and interpret manufacturing prints/blueprints, schematics, and work instructions for complex sub-systems and modules. - Proficiency using basic diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters and measurement devices. - Skilled use of hand tools including wire crimpers, wire strippers, and torque wrenches. - Understanding of mechanics and electronics workings in computer-controlled systems. - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Nice to have
- Electro-Mechanical or Mechanical Assembly certification, or other related certification. - Previous on-the-job training for semiconductor tool sets, or experience in a manufacturing role performing level I and II tasks per training guidelines.
