About the role
This role involves developing, implementing, and supporting the electronic repair center (ERC) for Fab 8, focusing on productivity improvements for semiconductor equipment. This position is based in the 300mm factory in Malta, New York.
What you'll do
- Provide bench repair for electronic components including PCBs, controllers, cables, robots, and power supplies.
- Support repair and refurbishment of automated material handler components and systems.
- Perform computer and controller repair for the Electronic Repair Shop at Fab 8.
- Generate and execute standard work practices for electronic repair.
- Develop Electronic Repair Pipelines & Standard Work for repair activities.
- Support the fab for critical tool down repairs with high quality and efficiency.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Min of 3-4 years’ experience with electronic repair of PCBs, controllers, robots, or power supplies.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol/requirements.
- Ability to wear all required clean room protective clothing and equipment.
- Ability to lift to 40 pounds and perform bending/twisting.
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in electrical engineering technology or military equivalent.
- Direct experience working in semiconductor manufacturing.
