About the role
Technicians in this role perform routine and preventative maintenance on tool sets to ensure optimum uptime, tool performance, and adherence to specifications.
What you'll do
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing tool sets to maintain optimal operational levels and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tool issues to maximize uptime while adhering to clean room protocols and safety procedures.
- Partner with engineering, vendors, and cross-functional teams to improve tool reliability, reduce MTBF and MTTR, increase MTTPM, and address yield issues.
- Read and interpret complex schematics, mechanical drawings, vacuum diagrams, flow charts, OEM manuals, and tool repair guides.
- Prepare technical documentation and shift pass down data for daily and weekly meetings.
- Propose process improvements and equipment changes in support of continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need
- Associate’s degree in electronics, industrial manufacturing, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Two years or more of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance within the semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing industry.
- Strong technical background in pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
- Hands-on maintenance experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment across vacuum (PVD, CVD, ALD, RIE, IBE, IBD, dry etch), photolithography (scanners, steppers, tracks, CD SEM), wet chemistry (electroplating, wet etch, solvent strip), or CMP tool sets.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, vacuum diagrams, and OEM repair manuals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
