PVD Equipment Engineer (SM1)
About the role
As a Thin Films PVD Equipment Engineer at Texas Instruments, you will support manufacturing equipment selection, installation, upgrades, and maintenance in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, select, and order manufacturing equipment that is cost effective for product fabrication.
- Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing tools while improving tool install efficiencies.
- Study equipment performance, reliability, and track manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Establish programs and solutions to increase uptime and address equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
- Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working as an Equipment Engineer in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Nice to have
- Equipment experience with AMAT Endura tools.
- Prior experience with PVD, CVD, high vacuum, and/or ultra high vacuum.
- Equipment experience with other tools from AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, or ASM.
- Experience with tool monitoring and interdiction software, equipment maintenance, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, SPC techniques, and cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
