About the role
AMD is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead AI infrastructure programs focused on GPU platforms, rack-level solutions, and AI cluster validation. In this role, you will work across hardware, firmware, networking, systems, and validation teams to drive AI platforms from early system integration through rack and cluster-scale readiness.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end program planning and execution for GPU-based AI infrastructure, spanning server integration, rack bring-up, cluster-scale validation, and deployment readiness.
- Drive alignment across GPU, CPU, firmware, BIOS/BMC, systems, networking, lab infrastructure, and validation teams.
- Coordinate multi-node and multi-rack scale testing, establishing entry and exit criteria for bring-up, EVT, DVT, scale validation, and deployment phases.
- Lead platform and rack-level debug activities, tracking high-impact GPU, HSIO, firmware, rack, networking, and system failures through root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Track operational metrics including Mean Time to Detect (MTTD), Mean Time to Mitigate (MTTM), and Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) while establishing post-incident reviews and corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities to apply Agentic AI and AIOps to engineering workflows, including automated triage, log analysis, test orchestration, and incident management.
What you'll need
- Professional experience leading technical program management across hardware, systems, or validation cycles.
- Technical understanding of GPU-based AI systems, server platforms, rack architectures, and datacenter infrastructure dependencies like power, cooling, and cabling.
- Experience coordinating multi-node or multi-rack scale testing and hardware/firmware debug cycles across pre-production, validation, or deployment phases.
- Proficiency tracking program schedules, dependency maps, risks, and operational metrics using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and dashboards.
Nice to have
- Experience leading datacenter programs across bring-up, validation, and deployment for AI, cloud, HPC, or hyperscale infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Agentic AI, AIOps, telemetry, log analytics, and AI-enabled automation for engineering workflows.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent program management training or certification.
