Lead die processing operations for Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) and Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filter production.
About the role
Lead Die Processing Services within the Acoustic Filter Technologies group, driving Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) and Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filter production. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Acoustic Engineering and oversees operations from die singulation to inspection and tape-and-reel packaging.
What you'll do
- Provide technical leadership in die singulation, integrating plasma and stealth dicing methods to optimize BAW and SAW filter production throughput and cost efficiency.
- Manage die-level inspection protocols across visual, IR, machine vision, and automated optical systems to identify defects and enforce standards.
- Direct and optimize tape-and-reel packaging operations, incorporating automation and clean-room space optimization to maintain traceability and efficiency.
- Implement quality control measures, statistical process control (SPC), and lean manufacturing principles to detect and minimize die-level damage.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using data analytics and maintain best-practice databases for ongoing yield and cost optimization.
- Audit manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with global industry standards, optimize capacity utilization, and minimize waste.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field (or an advanced degree).
- 10+ years of relevant experience in die processing, semiconductor manufacturing, or acoustic filter technology, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated track record of managing technical teams and driving process optimization in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Practical experience with statistical process control (SPC) and yield improvement strategies.
- Strong project management capabilities with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Professional certifications in semiconductor manufacturing or quality management are advantageous.
