About the role
As Team Lead for Electrical Engineering within CLS Electrical Development (EDEV), you will manage and develop a team of 5–10 electrical engineers delivering electrical and electromechanical modules for DUV light source systems.
What you'll do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5–10 electrical engineers, conducting regular 1:1s, development plans, technical mentoring, and performance management.
- Provide technical oversight for electrical designs, including system architecture, electrical schematics, PCA/PWB development, component selection, subsystem integration, and verification strategies.
- Drive prototype and product development through the Product Generation Process, covering requirements definition, design reviews, prototype/pilot builds, qualification, and engineering documentation.
- Own workforce and resource planning for the team, allocating engineering capacity across multiple concurrent project commitments and technology roadmaps.
- Lead structured problem-solving and engineering decision-making using analysis, modeling, experimentation, prototyping, and root-cause investigations.
- Lead or contribute to DFMEA/PFMEA, design reviews, risk assessments, and technical readiness reviews while applying Design for Excellence principles.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience designing, fabricating, testing, and releasing electronics and electromechanical modules for capital equipment.
- Background in EMC, pulsed power, FPGA/digital design, mixed-signal circuits, DOE, PCA/B fabrication, RoHS requirements, and component qualification.
- Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as OrCAD and Mentor Graphics/PADS.
- Familiarity with PLM and component management tools such as Oracle Agile, AVCOM, or Silicon Expert.
- Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing documentation, BOM management, ECO processes, and vendor interfacing.

How we counted: 54 open Semiconductor Equipment Engineering (Lithography Systems) roles from 13 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 3 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
