About the role
This role involves driving and improving AMD’s abilities to deliver high-quality, industry technologies to market, focusing on system power modeling and management.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement System Power Modeling methodologies and frameworks.
- Develop software/hardware modeling frameworks for diverse system architectures.
- Analyze systems and profile power impact from components, features, and workloads.
- Drive technical innovation to enhance AMD’s capabilities across product development and validation.
- Track test execution to ensure features are validated and optimized.
- Collaborate with product planning and supporting technical teams.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
- Experience with system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategies.
Nice to have
- System/segment/product level power modeling experience.
- PC system and APU/SOC power management experience.
- Low power measurement methodologies experience.
- Power modeling concepts and methodologies knowledge.
- Programming/scripting skills (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python).
- Debug techniques and methodologies experience.
- Experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes.
- Experience with board/platform-level debug, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization.
