About the role
As a Systems Engineer at Lam Research, you will design complex frameworks, systems, or products for wafer fabrication equipment, integrating hardware, software, and firmware. The role supports etch, deposition, and clean semiconductor equipment products.
What you'll do
- Define system specifications, requirements, parameters, and compatibility for subsystems of the transport module. - Design experiments to characterize subsystems and perform hands-on lab work. - Analyze data using Statistical Analysis of Variation and SPC methods. - Manage design tradeoffs and identify and resolve technical risks across different disciplines. - Present test plans, test data, technical proposals, and tradeoffs to cross-functional teams. - Write Python code for file parsing, simple data analysis, and plotting.
What you'll need
- Python coding experience with file parsing, simple data analysis, and plotting. - Experience with cross-functional technical teams spanning hardware, controls, software, and manufacturing. - Ability to conduct hands-on lab work and design characterization experiments. - Experience with Statistical Analysis of Variation and SPC methods.

- Experience with semiconductor fabrication equipment. - Experience with analyzing throughput of semiconductor fabrication equipment. - Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years and a Master’s degree, or a PhD without experience, or equivalent work experience.
