Applied Materials is seeking a System Engineer to lead wet equipment definition for 300 mm wafer-level processing. This role bridges process requirements and tool specifications, ensuring alignment between technology needs and equipment capabilities.
What you'll do
- Define requirements for wet processing tools including cleaning, wet etch, and surface preparation. - Translate process needs into detailed equipment specifications. - Conduct vendor benchmarking and selection. - Evaluate tool performance, footprint, throughput, and facility constraints. - Collaborate with process, facilities, and integration teams to identify gaps between process requirements and available solutions. - Analyze requirements, define system architectures, conduct thorough testing, and ensure seamless integration of subsystems.
What you'll need
- BS/MS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems Engineering. - 5+ years of experience in semiconductor processing equipment. - Strong knowledge of wet processing systems and chemical handling. - Experience with tool selection and vendor engagement.
Nice to have
- Experience in advanced packaging or wafer-level substrate processing. - Familiarity with fab integration considerations including UPH, automation, and factory layout.
