About the role
This role involves developing and automating methodologies to analyze and resolve supply shortages through data mining and planning system insights, as well as optimizing silicon supply plans.
What you'll do
- Develop and automate methodologies to analyze and resolve supply shortages through data mining and planning system insights.
- Optimize silicon supply plans using industrial engineering tools to ensure inventory distribution across all designs based on Micron strategy.
- Implement and maintain Fab Device ID (DID) prioritization logic to guide demand and safety stock fulfillment across fabs.
- Support modeling of trade-off scenarios between Fab constraints to enable flexible capacity planning and minimize trade ratio losses.
- Integrate Fab stability logic into planning systems and validate related dashboards and KPIs (e.g., Tableau) for performance monitoring.
- Analyze demand, supply, and shipment trends using statistical tools to identify risks and opportunities to the business revenue plan.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain or a related field.
- Operations Research skills in one of the following: Linear Programming, Queuing Theory, Statistical Analysis, or Theory of Constraints.
- Knowledge of any of the Production Planning and Inventory Control Strategies like BTO/BTT/BTF, Risk Pooling, EOQ, Lot Sizing or MRP.
- Exposure to any of Project Management techniques like CPM, PERT or Scheduling.
- Data analysis and Statistical packages in one of the following: JMP, MINITAB, R, Python, Tableau, PL, or SQL.
- Supply Chain Skills in one of the following: lean manufacturing, Customer service measures, or safety stock management.
Skills: supply shortages, Optimize silicon supply plans, Fab Device ID (DID) prioritization logic, Fab constraints, demand, supply, and shipment trends
