About the role
This internship provides hands-on experience in supporting operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role focuses on projects related to Tool Alarm Reduction, Preventive Maintenance (PM) Optimization, or Yield Improvement in semiconductor wet processing operations.
What you'll do
- Support projects focused on reducing non-value-added activities and improving manufacturing productivity.
- Analyze equipment performance, utilization, downtime, and operational metrics.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Analyze equipment alarm history and support efforts to reduce nuisance alarms.
- Evaluate Preventive Maintenance (PM) effectiveness and optimize maintenance procedures.
- Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing, equipment, and process performance data.
- Present project updates and final recommendations to engineering and management teams.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related STEM disciplines.
- Junior or Senior undergraduate standing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
