About the role
TSMC Arizona is hiring engineering interns across Facility Engineer and Design & Construction Division teams to support semiconductor fab systems in Phoenix, Arizona.
What you'll do
- Support the operation, validation, walkdowns, startups, and documentation development for facilities systems including electrical, mechanical HVAC, water treatment, or chemical and gas distribution. - Monitor construction activities, tracking installations across electrical infrastructure up to 230kV, mechanical piping, ultra-pure water, CSA, or bulk chemical delivery systems. - Assist project management and construction teams with forecasting, reporting, work planning, and responding to RFIs. - Troubleshoot commissioning challenges, field issues, and cleanroom contamination concerns across fab facility systems.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled at an accredited university in a Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related engineering fields. - Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site in Phoenix, Arizona for 10 weeks during the designated Summer 2027 semester or quarter windows. - Ability to lift weights in accordance with applicable safety guidelines (including NIOSH recommendations) and work in a cleanroom environment wearing full cleanroom gowning and PPE. - Flexibility to change priorities and responsibilities to support business needs.
