About the role
This role involves supporting electrical testing of MOSFET and IGBT devices at wafer level in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will gain hands-on experience with automated semiconductor electrical testers.
What you'll do
- Assist in developing, debugging, and validating wafer-level electrical test programs
- Support investigations into yield loss by running experiments, collecting data, and analyzing complex information
- Qualify and characterize new tools, hardware, tests, and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on probe test equipment
- Identify production risks before they propagate, tracking down solutions with rigor
- Work with onsemi teams around the world on projects
What you'll need
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field
- Coursework or basic knowledge in electronics, semiconductor device fundamentals, and circuit analysis
- Comfortable working hands-on with common lab equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Ability to work safely in cleanroom and lab environments
Nice to have
- Familiarity with programming concepts, particularly C++ and Python
- Ability with basic data analysis tools, like Excel, JMP, MATLAB, or Python
- Exposure to semiconductor parametric/functional test and characterization
- Basic understanding of test automation
