About the role
This internship supports operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role focuses on improving factory productivity, increasing equipment utilization, reducing operational waste, and streamlining metrology workflows.
What you'll do
- Support projects to reduce non-value-added activities and improve metrology productivity.
- Monitor metrology tool utilization, queue times, cycle time, and throughput performance.
- Identify bottlenecks within metrology operations and recommend solutions for efficiency.
- Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing and metrology equipment performance data.
- Perform statistical analysis using Minitab, Excel, and other engineering tools.
- Participate in AI integrated tool Alarm and spec hold response optimization.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM disciplines.
- Junior or Senior undergraduate standing.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor and interacting with production equipment.
