About the role
This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in defect inspection, focusing on the health of the line in a high-volume manufacturing environment for advanced power semiconductors.
What you'll do
- Generate defect Pareto charts, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement.
- Work with defect application engineers to improve defect of interest (DOI) detection.
- Create and execute design of experiments (DOE), analyze data, and communicate results with recommendations.
- Understand statistical concepts, such as multivariate and univariate analysis.
- Demonstrate project management skills, including defining milestones and estimating timelines.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program (BS Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, materials engineering, or related subject).
- Familiar with Java, Python, R, or other modern programming languages.
- Familiar with SQL.
Nice to have
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence platforms.
- Semiconductor processing experience or coursework.
- Familiar with 5S, 8D, 6-sigma, SPC, DOE, FMEM.
