Develop C#, .NET, and WPF desktop tools supporting Si479xx and Si469xx automotive radio and audio platforms.
About the role
This role leads the development of Windows-based software tools used to evaluate, configure, tune, debug, and demonstrate automotive infotainment radio and audio solutions. The position focuses on C#, .NET, and WPF desktop application development supporting Si479xx, Si469xx, and related automotive platforms.
What you'll do
- Lead design, development, maintenance, and release of Windows desktop GUI tools using C#, .NET, and WPF.
- Develop and support tools for initialization, configuration, tuning, visualization, export, automation, and debug of embedded automotive radio and audio products.
- Support legacy platforms, including Si479xx and Si469xx families, as well as new hardware and software platforms.
- Translate embedded firmware and hardware capabilities into workflows supporting AM/FM/HD Radio/DAB, audio post-processing, and audio-topology configuration.
- Work closely with firmware, DSP, validation, hardware, applications, and product-line teams to align tools with evolving APIs and roadmaps.
- Support customer-facing evaluation, tuning, field tests, demos, and issue isolation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 6+ years of directly relevant experience in software engineering, applications engineering, or technical tools development.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET, WPF, and Windows desktop application development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented software design, maintainable architecture, and debugging in complex codebases.
- Experience developing software that interfaces with embedded hardware or firmware.
- Ability to troubleshoot across application software, APIs, embedded behavior, and board/hardware interactions.
Nice to have
- Experience with WPF/MVVM, multithreaded applications, async patterns, and complex UI/workflow design.
- Background in automotive infotainment, radio management, digital radio, or audio processing systems.
- Familiarity with AM/FM/HD Radio/DAB/DRM/CDR, audio DSP concepts, and audio-topology tools.
- Experience with embedded ARM-based systems and hardware control paths such as SPI, I2C, or UART.
- Familiarity with test-equipment control, lab automation, installer/build/release workflows, Jira, and Confluence.
