Staff Software Engineer
About the role
Ahead Computing is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to serve as a hands-on technical anchor executing independently and steering engineering teams without needing direct authority. The position focuses on systems software ownership applied to real customer and internal workloads, with continuous performance analysis and tuning.
What you'll do
- Take deep technical ownership of an area of systems software and apply it to real customer and internal workloads.
- Drive customer enablement by working side by side with customer engineering teams to deliver their solutions.
- Steer and lead internal teams through greenfield projects that improve internal engineering efficiency.
- Conduct ongoing performance analysis and tuning across customer implementations and internal initiatives.
What you'll need
- Demonstrated technical ownership in systems software applied to production workloads.
- Experience with performance analysis and performance tuning.
- Track record of customer enablement collaborating directly with external engineering teams.
- Experience steering and leading engineers and teams through greenfield software initiatives.
