About the role
This role is for a Staff Equipment Engineer responsible for engineering ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement of Photolithography equipment in Wilmington, Massachusetts. This position provides technical leadership in equipment qualification, line sustainability, productivity improvement, and cost improvement.
What you'll do
- Act as equipment owner for assigned manufacturing tools in photolithography, ensuring availability, reliability, safety, and performance.
- Lead line-sustaining activities including troubleshooting, containment, and permanent corrective actions for chronic and high-impact equipment issues.
- Drive Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) improvement initiatives through systematic downtime analysis.
- Plan, execute, and validate preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Lead equipment qualification, buy-off, and transfer activities for new, relocated, or upgraded manufacturing tools.
- Perform and lead root cause analysis (RCA) using structured methodologies (8D, FMEA, 5-Why).
What you'll need
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- 10+ Years experience in manufacturing equipment engineering within a semiconductor or electronics production environment.
- Proven background in line-sustaining, equipment reliability, maintenance engineering and OEE improvement.
Nice to have
- Experience with Nikon i14 steppers, TEL Tracks (MK5/MK7/ACT), UT1500 Steppers, vacuum ovens.
- Semiconductor manufacturing environment or related high-volume clean-room manufacturing experience.
