About the role
This role contributes to the design and development of analog and mixed-signal IP blocks, taking ownership of block-level design while collaborating with senior engineers on architecture and system-level integration.
What you'll do
- Design and develop analog and mixed-signal IP blocks such as amplifiers, comparators, data converters, bandgap references, regulators, and monitoring circuits. - Perform transistor-level schematic design, simulation, and verification using EDA tools. - Analyze circuit performance across PVT conditions including corner simulations, Monte Carlo mismatch analysis, and noise considerations. - Work closely with layout engineers to ensure parasitic-aware design and performance closure. - Participate in silicon bring-up, validation, and debugging activities. - Collaborate across layout, verification, and SoC integration teams, and generate documentation for design specifications and validation results.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. - 2–3 years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design. - Solid understanding of analog design fundamentals including device operation, biasing, gain, bandwidth, stability, compensation, noise, mismatch, and process variation. - Experience with transistor-level design and simulation in CMOS technologies. - Familiarity with EDA tools including Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre. - Ability to run and analyze simulations across PVT and variability conditions.
Nice to have
- Experience designing one or more analog blocks from spec to simulation with partial or full ownership. - Exposure to silicon validation and lab debugging. - Familiarity with layout concepts and parasitic effects. - Experience with low-power design techniques. - Exposure to advanced nodes such as Bulk CMOS, FDSOI, or FinFET. - Experience contributing to tape out or silicon-proven designs. - Basic scripting skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar.

How we counted: 316 open Analog IC Design (Analog Design) roles from 52 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 22 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Analog & Mixed-Signal family row.
