About the role
This role supports customers and internal teams by enabling MCU-based systems that integrate power management, DC-DC control, and embedded firmware. The focus is on Renesas MCU and digital power products (PMICs, digital controllers, power SoCs).
What you'll do
- Provide expert-level technical support to customers using Renesas MCU and digital power products.
- Perform board bring-up, MCU peripheral configuration, and system-level debugging.
- Assist customers with digital power solutions including DC-DC converters, PMICs, and MCU-based power control.
- Develop, debug, and optimize embedded firmware in C/C++ (bare-metal or RTOS).
- Design and tune digital control loops (voltage, current, power factor, multi-phase systems).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control stability, efficiency, EMI, transient response, and thermal performance.
What you'll need
- BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering (MS preferred).
- 8+ years of professional industry experience in embedded systems and digital power applications.
- Hands-on experience with digital power or power management systems.
- Strong understanding of digital control theory for power electronics.
- Familiarity with Control loop compensation, PID / digital compensators, ADCs, PWMs, comparators, timers.
- Experience in embedded MCU firmware (C Language).
- Working proficiency in English and fluent Chinese.
Nice to have
- Solid understanding of MCU peripherals and communication protocols (UART, SPI, I²C, CAN, Ethernet).
- Experience with power system debugging (efficiency, transient response, thermal, EMI/EMC).
- Familiarity with industrial (factory automation, energy, power infrastructure).
- Experience developing reference boards, evaluation kits, or demo systems.
- Prior AE / FAE or customer-facing engineering experience.
