About the role
As a Sr. Staff Field Applications Engineer, you will work with customers to enable the transformation of Infineon's products into designs and build partnerships.
What you'll do
- Drive pre- and post-design-in activities for Tier 1 Hyperscale, AI Server, and Computing customers, promoting Infineon’s Enterprise digital power management products to secure design wins.
- Design-in and optimize DC/DC power solutions for AI processors, CPUs, GPUs, and ASICs through power analysis, simulation, and test validation.
- Create system level block diagrams and recommend advanced solutions aligned with customer needs and future roadmaps.
- Support schematic and PCB layout reviews, board bring-up, system validation, and debugging.
- Develop expertise in 48V bus conversion and vertical power delivery for Hyperscale power architectures.
- Provide technical support and training on Infineon’s power management products, tools, and GUI software.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in power electronics, focusing on LV DC/DC conversion.
- Hands-on DC-DC validation experience and familiarity with Intel/AMD VRTT, load transient test tools, and network analyzers.
- Expertise in system design, including block diagrams, schematic capture, PCB layout, and board debugging.
- Proficiency with simulation tools such as PSpice and Simplis, along with PCB design software for PDN (Power Distribution Network) analysis and simulation.
