About the role
As an Applications Engineer, you will define new power products, characterize them through ramp, and provide post-ramp application support to customers. This role focuses on multiphase controller solutions for AI and data center computing.
What you'll do
- Review schematic and layout for customer applications.
- Debug customer problems by re-creating issues on evaluation boards or customer boards.
- Perform bench characterization for multiphase controller devices, including bench automation.
- Support early design-in activities for new products in collaboration with systems engineers.
- Write application notes explaining use cases, implementation, and flexibility of products.
- Answer customer questions and support design-in activities for released products via forums and email.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, or related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience in Power Electronics.
- Experience in applications support of power products.
- Solid hardware and software debugging skills.
- Strong technical background with ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
Nice to have
- Strong fundamentals in DC/DC power, especially multiphase controller and control-loop topology.
- Hands-on experience with Data Center power solutions, particularly multiphase controller and DrMOS/Power Stage.
- Ability to design schematics using Altium, Candence, and experience in developing PCB design.
- Experience supporting customer designs from schematics/layout review through system validation and production.
- Familiarity with GPU/ASIC/CPU VCORE Test tools and plans.
- Strong understanding of PMBus/AVSBus or similar digital power interface.
