Sr. Quality Compliance Engineer

About the role
As a Sr. Quality Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the integrity of Ampere's Quality Management System (QMS). You will support quality activities across industry certifications, program management, quality tool deployment, and internal audits for CPU and SoC products.
What you'll do
- Support activities to achieve and maintain industry certifications, including ISO 9001, ISO 26262, and other relevant quality standards.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of quality processes across the product lifecycle under a structured New Product Introduction (NPI) framework.
- Partner with the Quality Management office to plan, schedule, and execute internal audits assessing compliance with the QMS and customer-specific automotive and safety requirements.
- Document audit findings, assist in generating management reports, and validate the effectiveness of corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Support key quality management software and tools, including PLM, QMS, and document control systems, ensuring functional safety documentation is controlled and audit-ready.
- Track and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality, process, or product engineering role within the semiconductor, electronics, or related high-tech industry.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 26262 standards.
- Working knowledge of core quality methodologies, including 8D, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Experience working within a quality management system for complex SoCs or CPUs, along with NPI lifecycle and product qualification processes.
- Familiarity with reliability-related concepts and product-level reliability testing, such as HTOL.
- Experience using QMS/PLM systems (such as Agile or Arena) and collaboration tools (such as Jira and Confluence).
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Professional quality certifications, such as ASQ CQT/CQE, CFSE, or CFSP.
