About the role
The Senior Reliability Technician executes semiconductor reliability stress tests and maintains test hardware and environmental chambers in Sunnyvale, CA.
What you'll do
- Set up, execute, and monitor semiconductor reliability stress tests, including HTOL, THB, and Thermal Cycling.
- Program, operate, and troubleshoot environmental chambers, burn-in boards, socket fixtures, and benchtop instruments such as SMUs, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters.
- Perform preliminary electrical characterization on stressed or failed devices to isolate failure modes using curve tracing, leakage measurement, and shorts/opens analysis.
- Collect and organize test datasets.
- Collaborate with Reliability Engineers, Design Engineers, and the Test Development team to troubleshoot equipment discrepancies and abnormalities during and after stress tests.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of hands-on technical experience in a semiconductor reliability, failure analysis, or high-reliability manufacturing lab environment.
- Basic working knowledge of semiconductor physics, device packaging, and failure mechanisms.
- Familiarity with industry reliability standards such as JEDEC and Telcordia.
- Experience using PC-based test interfaces and operating pre-existing Python programs or scripts to initialize test stations, run DUTs, and capture data.
- Proficiency with lab instruments including Source Measure Units, signal generators, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
- Experience programming and managing environmental test chambers and burn-in systems, plus basic familiarity with failure analysis tools like optical microscopy.
