Sr. Process Engineer - CMP
About the role
This position is for an experienced CMP process engineer to lead process development, transfer, and improvement in a high-volume manufacturing fab in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on delivering specialty electronic devices through hands-on process and equipment engineering.
What you'll do
- Lead process development, sustaining, and overall operation within the CMP area.
- Collaborate with process, integration, and yield enhancement engineers to improve SPC, yield, parametrics, and defect metrics.
- Support technology transfers to achieve first-pass success and develop processes for new product introductions.
- Ensure matching of newly installed equipment to support production ramp and partner with equipment engineering to improve uptime and tool utilization.
- Implement advanced process control to improve Cpk at critical levels.
- Lead process technicians in daily sustaining activities and execute engineering projects to optimize cost, quality, and cycle times.
What you'll need
- PhD in engineering, physics, chemistry, or materials science with more than 2 years of experience in CMP.
- Hands-on experience with CMP tools and processes.
- Proven skills in statistics, SPC, DOE, and data analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of device physics and device architecture.
- Understanding of cycle time, process flows, and material management.
