About the role
This role leads the Electrical Engineering Systems Integration team within the Etch Product Group, managing the design, development, integration, and release of electrical systems for semiconductor process equipment. The scope covers I/O and control systems, AC/DC power distribution, embedded systems, and discrete circuit and PCBA development.
What you'll do
- Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers designing and delivering electrical systems, control systems, and power distribution subsystems.
- Guide system requirements, design approaches, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and technical decisions across the product development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and partner organizations to ensure designs meet functional, performance, reliability, and operational requirements.
- Drive development and qualification extending to discrete circuits, PCBAs, cable assemblies, and power distribution hardware.
- Advance engineering methods, tools, processes, and training to support team technical capabilities and execution.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 15+ years of relevant engineering experience in semiconductor capital equipment or a related complex-equipment industry, including 6–8 years of engineering management experience.
- Technical background in complex electrical systems integration, control systems, AC/DC power distribution, embedded systems, and electrical/electronic subsystem design.
- Hands-on engineering experience with analog and digital circuit design and PCBA development from schematic through qualification and production release.
- Working knowledge and practical application of industry safety and electrical standards, including SEMI S2/S22, NFPA 79, NEC, UL, and IEC.
- Experience working with external suppliers and contract manufacturers supporting PCBAs, cable assemblies, power distribution assemblies, and related electrical hardware.
Nice to have
- Experience leading the design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical and electro-mechanical systems, embedded systems, and power distribution.
- Track record of guiding the evaluation and integration of custom and OEM electrical and embedded-system components and subsystems.
- Experience overseeing test plans and procedures to verify technical, functional, and operational requirements.
- Proven leadership representing the Electrical Engineering organization in design, project, and program reviews.
