Sr. Manager, Post-Silicon Eng, AWS Hardware Engineering Services
About the role
This is a manager-of-managers role leading engineering teams within AWS Core Hardware spanning PCIe validation, signal integrity, CPU and memory quality engineering, server performance, and test automation infrastructure. The organization owns technical validation and fleet operational health across the complete lifecycle, from silicon bring-up to fleet deployment.
What you'll do
- Own the technical output and operational health of engineering teams spanning PCIe validation and signal integrity, CPU and memory engineering, server performance, and test automation.
- Lead first-line managers and establish technical direction for validation methodology, coverage models, debug workflows, and production monitoring strategies across custom server platforms and silicon.
- Build processes and tooling to connect pre-production validation learnings to fleet operations.
- Lead root-cause analysis, corrective action, and systemic improvements for fleet-wide issues stemming from silicon, interconnect, or memory behavior.
- Partner with silicon suppliers, firmware teams, and hardware design teams to resolve cross-functional platform issues across silicon, firmware, board, and operational domains.
- Communicate technical findings, fleet health data, and risk assessments to senior leadership, translating silicon and platform data into decisions for architecture and product teams.
What you'll need
- Experience serving as a manager of managers leading engineering organizations.
- Deep technical background in post-silicon validation, including validation methodology, bring-up, and debug workflows.
- Technical expertise spanning PCIe validation, signal integrity, CPU and memory quality, or server performance.
- Experience managing the lifecycle of silicon and platforms from pre-production validation through volume production and operational fleet monitoring.
- Track record of driving root-cause analysis and systemic corrective actions for platform-level silicon and interconnect issues in partnership with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
