About the role

As an HPC Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize HPC software solutions that leverage NVIDIA GPUs, AMD CPUs, and MPI for distributed and parallel computing. You will implement scalable architectures for HPC clusters to ensure high-performance applications run efficiently across scaled nodes.

What you'll do

- Design and implement software solutions leveraging NVIDIA GPUs and AMD CPUs to maximize computational efficiency and execution speed. - Apply MPI, CUDA, OpenMP, and other parallel computing techniques to scale applications across multi-core and multi-GPU systems. - Contribute to the design, deployment, configuration, and scaling of HPC nodes to support expanding data and compute workloads. - Implement GPU and CPU algorithms tailored for complex computations, data-intensive workloads, and multi-node scalability. - Conduct profiling, benchmarking, and bottleneck analysis across scaled environments using NVIDIA Nsight, AMD μProf, and Intel VTune. - Document code, scaling workflows, and performance metrics for technical stakeholders.

What you'll need

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Science, or a related field. - 3+ years of experience in HPC development focused on parallel and distributed computing, plus 5+ years of experience in scientific software development. - Proficiency in CUDA and familiarity with the NVIDIA HPC software stack, including cuDNN, NCCL, and TensorRT. - Expertise in parallel programming paradigms including MPI and OpenMP across distributed, multi-node environments. - Strong proficiency in C/C++, Python, and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Packer. - Familiarity with profiling and performance tuning tools including NVIDIA Nsight, AMD μProf, and Intel VTune.

Nice to have

- Experience with job scheduling and resource management tools such as Slurm or PBS. - Knowledge of containerization technologies like Singularity or Docker in an HPC context. - Understanding of cloud-based HPC scaling solutions or hybrid HPC environments.
