About the role
The Sr. Equipment Maintenance Technician performs troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on wafer fab manufacturing equipment on a night shift schedule.
What you'll do
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, assemble, and rebuild manufacturing equipment according to schematics, operating or repair manuals, sketches, or drawings. - Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot non-functioning wafer fab manufacturing equipment to determine root cause of failure. - Use test and diagnostic equipment to execute checkouts and perform equipment modifications as directed by equipment engineers. - Collaborate with Process and Equipment engineering and cross-functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize downtime. - Participate in shift pass down activities, spare part analysis, inventory development, and continuous improvement initiatives for throughput and yield enhancements. - Assist in equipment upgrades, installation, and startup of new equipment while serving as a member of the Lumentum MERTeam.
What you'll need
- Minimum H.S. Diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Experience performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment. - Ability to meet Emergency Response Team (ERT) Member eligibility requirements and participate as a member of the MERTeam. - Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Demonstrated ability to comply with safety policies, clean room protocols, and technical procedures.

- Experience in wafer fab clean room manufacturing.
