This Manufacturing Engineer Intern position in Nampa, Idaho supports initiatives focused on process optimization, yield improvement, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Support Manufacturing Engineers in process improvement, yield enhancement, and productivity projects.
- Analyze manufacturing and equipment data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate project progress and results.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation, work instructions, and engineering procedures.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Sophomore standing or above.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to have
- Interest in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, JMP, Minitab, or similar analytical tools.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience with engineering projects, laboratory environments, or manufacturing operations.
- Understanding of statistical analysis and process control concepts.
